Community Visitors Scheme (CVS)
The CVS arranges volunteer visits to older people to provide friendship and companionship. Visits are available to anyone receiving government-subsidised residential aged care or Home Care Packages. During the COVID-19 pandemic, CVS is focusing on phone and virtual friendships while physical distancing measures and visiting restrictions are in place.

COVID Connect (Australian Red Cross)
COVID Connect is a free telephone service from Australian Red Cross to provide support and community connection to people who are feeling socially isolated as a result of COVID-19. You can register for COVID Connect by clicking the link above or by ringing 1800 733 276 during business hours. Please note this is not a service for people wanting assistance with their mental health or those who require assistance in a crisis.

FriendLine is a support line and online chat service for anyone who needs to reconnect or just wants a chat. All conversations with FriendLine are casual and anonymous. The support line is open from 6.00pm-8.00pm Tuesday to Thursday and 2.00pm-5.00pm Saturday to Sunday. The online chat service is open from 1.00pm-4.00pm Tuesday to Thursday. Please note FriendLine is not a crisis service.
