The service concentrates on removing risks around the home and establishing an environment that supports a client’s wellbeing. While the service does not include general renovations to your home, there are many services that can assist you to remain living confidently in your own home, including: - Garden maintenance, pruning, mowing or weeding where there are issues of safety or accessibility. - Replacement of light bulbs and tap washers. - Installation of batteries in smoke or security alarms. - Minor carpentry repairs. - Cleaning of gutters or windows. - Minor roof repairs.
Our Lady of Consolation’s Domestic Assistance Service provides a wide range of services to support older people living in the community, using our own funds.
- We have been providing a fortnightly shopping bus service to allow older people easier access to the Westfield shopping centre at Mt Druitt.
- We have also been very involved in facilitating social bus trips
- helps you with basic chores around the house so that you can relax
- changing the sheets and doing laundry [as part of the Our Lady of Consolation’s Home Linen Service (twice weekly)]

Self-help resources and low intensity interventions, including digital mental health, group and peer supports.
A mix of self-help resources, including digital mental health and low intensity interventions. Also psychological services for individuals who require them.
High intensity services including periods of intensive intervention that may involve multidisciplinary support. Where issues may be persistent or episodic without a high level of risk, complexity or disability.
Intensive team-based specialist assessment and intervention (typically state/territory mental health services) with involvement from a range of different mental health professionals including case managers, psychiatrists, allied health workers, and GPs. Includes a high level of risk, disability or complexity.
