Anglicare offers a range of respite options for carers, in-home, out of home in the community, at one of our overnight respite cottages, day respite in a social group environment of residential respite in one of our care homes.
Residential Respite/Short Stay - Available for a few days through the week at a time. Involving short-term stay in a residential care home after which you return home. You will receive the same care as permanent residents and are welcome to join in on social activities as well as have meals and laundry provided.
In-home respite care - Very flexible to fit in with needs of the client and also the family, involving carering for the client in the home or taking them on outings.
Overnight cottage respite - We have a number of overnight respite cottages across the Greater Sydney region. Our cottages are cosy and our guests are lovingly cared for, we only host small groups (up to three guests at a time with staff being in attendance at all times.
Social groups/Centre-based respite - Come along to our social groups to make some great new friends, share memories, enjoy great food, get involved in games and events, enjoy exercise classes and learn new skills.
Anglicare also welcomes volunteers.

Self-help resources and low intensity interventions, including digital mental health, group and peer supports.
A mix of self-help resources, including digital mental health and low intensity interventions. Also psychological services for individuals who require them.
High intensity services including periods of intensive intervention that may involve multidisciplinary support. Where issues may be persistent or episodic without a high level of risk, complexity or disability.
Intensive team-based specialist assessment and intervention (typically state/territory mental health services) with involvement from a range of different mental health professionals including case managers, psychiatrists, allied health workers, and GPs. Includes a high level of risk, disability or complexity.
